Overview

To celebrate one hundred years of freedom from Spain, Mexico released the gold 50 Pesos coin, known as the Centenario. Carrying on the legacy of the country’s bravery and celebrating The Angel of Independence, the 50 Pesos coin is the largest gold bullion piece to come out of Mexico. This gorgeous golden coin is the perfect way to add gold holdings to your investment portfolio or collection in one single purchase. The design is classic and unique, unlike any other gold bullion available on the market today.

If you’re interested in the possibilities of buying precious metals, the impressive Mexican gold 50 Peso is a great way to start your collection. Imbued with historical legacy and commanding a large size, this remarkable coin is a heavy-hitting element to display along with other precious metal investment pieces. Originally issued by the Banco de Mexico starting in 1921, many of these random year 50 Pesos were minted with the restrike year of 1947, making these efficient coins a valuable method of adding bullion to your portfolio.

Description

The Mexican Gold 50 Pesos coin contains over an ounce of gold, 1.2057oz of pure gold to be exact. Certified as Uncirculated to Brilliant Uncirculated condition, your coin will be brilliantine and feature a detailed image of Winged Victory, the Angel of Independence or Nike, complete with a laurel wreath in one hand, and the broken chains of Spanish rule in the other. The reverse depicts the Mexican coat of arms, a Golden eagle atop a cactus, clutching a serpentine rattlesnake in its beak, signifying triumph over hardship and a celebration of victory over the enemy.

This vintage coin’s year will be chosen at random, with the 1943 mintage year adding significant additional value because of its uncommon double printing, which indicates its 37.5 grams of pure gold, and leaves out the traditional ’50 Pesos’ marking.

On account of its limited supply and relatively low demand, both investors and collectors alike consider the Mexican Gold Peso very attractive. This gold coin was minted with a copper alloy that renders it especially durable, with a physical size that is 20% larger than an American Gold Eagle. This is a particularly rare and intriguing way to invest in gold bullion, sure to command the eye in any collection and retain a commanding respect for its value throughout the years.
